Prof. Zhixiang Zhang had been the Executive Director for China in the International Monetary Fund from 1996 to 1999 and Director General at the Asian Development Bank from 1999 to 2002. He had also been the Deputy Director General and Director General of the International Department of the People’s Bank of China, which is China’s central bank, from 1985 to 1996 . He was the first Resident Chief Representative of the People’s Bank of China in Europe based in London from 1992 to 1994.
