Li Yang

Mr. Li Yang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economics from Anhui University, master’s degree in Money and Banking from Fudan University and a PhD in Public Finance from Renmin University of China. He was Visiting Economist at Columbia University, Vice-President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Director of Institute of Finance and Banking and Finance Research Center of CASS. He is former member of Monetary Policy Committee, People's Bank of China and Vice President of China Society for Finance and Banking. He was a member of Chinese Financial Market Development Committee, Pacific Economic Corporate Committee, Executive Committee of China Society of Public Finance, and Executive Committee of China Society of International Finance. Since 1990, he is author of 22 monographs and 300 thesis and working papers. He organized and participated in 30 state level research projects and international cooperative studies recipient of awards including, Sun Yefang Economics Prize (1990, 1994, 1996 and 2007).
