Mr. Chen Weidong is executive vice director of the Institute of International Finance, Bank of China. He is responsible for the Bank’s research function covering various research areas including global economy, macroeconomic policy, RMB internationalization, financial regulation and the development of international banking industry. He joined the Bank in 1999, and was closely involved in the IPO of Bank of China Hong Kong Limited and the restructuring and IPO of the Bank. From 2005-11, Chen was deputy general manager of the strategic development, Bank of China. From 2011-14, he served as the vice president of Bank of China Liaoning Branch. Chen graduated from the International Economy Department, China Renmin University with a PhD in Economics in 1997. Chen is also the secretary general of the China International Finance Society, and the chief editor of the Journals of International Finance and Studies of International Finance.
中国银行国际金融研究所副所长，负责银行各领域的研究工作，包括国际经济，宏观政策，人民币国际化，金融监管以及国际银行产业的发展。他与1999年加入中国银行，主要负责香港中国银行的上市，及中国银行的重组及上市。2011年至2013年，任中国银行辽宁支行的副行长。1997年毕业于中国人民大学国际经济系，获经济学博士学位。同时他也是中国国际金融协会的常务秘书，及《国际金融期刊》和《国际金融研究》的主要审稿人。
