Mr. Guan Tao, Ph.D. in economics, associate research fellow of China Financial 40Forum senior researcher and member of the academic committee, member of the third session of Chinese Economy 50 Forum, executive director of the China Society for Financeand Banking, director of ChinaInternational Finance Society, executive director of China Society of World Economics.

In 1992, he graduated from Wuhan University, major in world economy.After graduation he began working in policy research department and statistics department of State Administration of Foreign Exchange, served as deputy director of the general affairs department and director of the Department of international Balance of Payments, recently transferred to senior researcher of the China Financial 40 Forum. He has a master degree of the development of economics of Australian National University, a doctorate in economics of Beijing Normal University. He has been engaged in convertible currency, international balance of payments, exchange rate policy, international capital flows and research for a long time, he wrote a lot of work reports and academic papers and participated in the design of a series of major foreign exchange management system reform program since 1994.
经济学博士，副研究员，中国金融四十人论坛高级研究员暨学术委员，第三届中国经济五十人论坛成员，中国金融学会常务理事、国际金融学会理事、世界经济学会常务理事。

1992年武汉大学世界经济专业毕业后，加入国家外汇管理局，先后在政策研究和统计部门工作，历任综合司副司长、国际收支司司长，近期转任中国金融四十人论坛高级研究员。1998年获日本－国际货币基金组织－澳大利亚亚洲奖学金项目资助，赴澳大利亚国立大学学习，获发展经济学硕士学位。2001－2004年在北京师范大学学习，获经济学博士学位。长期从事货币可兑换、国际收支、汇率政策、国际资本流动等问题的研究，撰写了大量工作报告和学术论文，参加了1994年以来一系列重大外汇管理体制改革方案的设计。
